12.Commemorating National Waste Care Day, Seven Schools in Bantul Clean Samas Beach

Sanden- To commemorate 2019 National Waste Care Day, Seven Environmental Care Schools in Bantul Regency, each in Bantul MTsN 5, Sewon 1 Vocational High School, Bantul 2 Senior High School, Imogiri Senior High School, Imogiri 2 Junior high school, Srandakan 2 Junior High School, Sanden 2 Junior High School held a clean event rubbish at Sanden Samas Srigading Beach on Thursday (02/21/2019). The activity initiated by the MTsN 5 Bantul Green Campus (Matsamaba) was attended by Kasi Binmas Islam Ministry of Religion Bantul Halili, S.Ag, M.Sc., Environmental Analysis of the Bantul DLH Nur Rohman, Moh.Wijdan (Bantul Tourism Service), Sudiyono (Disdikpora Bantul ), Heri Puji Astuti (Sanden District).

Chairperson of the "Green Berseri" Team Matsamaba as coordinator of the activities of Drs. Sutanto explained, this activity was initiated by the madrasa as one of the Adiwiyata pilot schools by inviting several Adiwiyata schools in Bantul.

"Our good intention to contribute to realizing Garbage-Free Bantul 2019 turned out to get a positive response from other schools, even environmentally concerned communities such as the Alam Lestari Waste Bank Ceme Srigading also supported this program. Disaster Risk Reduction Forum (FPRB) and Community Protection (Linmas) Srigading village also directs the participants in this activity ", added Sutanto.

The participants, which amounted to approximately 230 students and the civil service, began the event with an opening led Mujiman, by the staff of the Srigading Village, followed by cleaning the environment around the Pranasakti Samas Mosque. The culmination of this is cleaning Samas beach mainly plastic waste, tree branches. The waste is garbage that is carried along when the tide is running. By using simple tools such as large plastic bags, liri, the participants enthusiastically picked up the garbage one by one to then collect it on the edge of the beach.

Environmental Analysis of the DLH Bantul Nur Rohman gave high appreciation to the madrasas / schools that have carried out this clean beach activity, he hoped that this very positive activity could become a routine agenda in the future. While Moh. Wijdan from the Tourism Office welcomed Samas as a beach clean place. "We are pleased with this activity, at least the participants present can spread about Samas now, not like the old Samas. Now the environment is increasingly organized and clean. Even this year it will be better managed by making parks and supported a good road access. Hopefully more visitors will come ", he explained. (mw)
