Transformation Without Transition
The history of Indonesia is not solely defined by great figures, but also by the people who toiled daily. Since the colonial era, a shared sense of destiny emerged, leading to the birth of labor unions. Their journey was fraught with challenges, such as silenced voices and changing work methods, yet the issues of wages and livelihood security persisted. This exhibition invites us to look back and remember those who sustained daily life. The value of “sweat” is often felt more profoundly in silence than in the spotlight.
