Diskominfo - Located at Sorobayan Village, Gadingsari Village, Sanden Bantul, the Regional Disaster Management Agency of Bantul Regency held a simulation of natural disaster / tsunami prevention. No less than 2000 Gadingsari residents followed the disaster prevention simulation. Saturday (29/6).
Regent of Bantul Drs. H. Suharsono on the occasion, appreciated the tsunami response simulation activities. He said, living in the red zone of natural disasters we must be prepared and not be complacent, because natural disasters suddenly come without us being able to predict.
"The experience of natural disasters that claimed many lives a few years ago, reminded us, of the importance of disaster mitigation. Knowledge of natural disasters must be socialized to the community," he said.
This morning's simulation activities are very good for educating the public, whether we like it or not in a disaster-prone zone. But the preparedness and spirit of mutual cooperation that we have together must always be maintained and we fertilize, so that if a disaster occurs we can overcome it quickly and responsibly.
Meanwhile, the Head of BPBD Bantul Dwi Daryanto, welcomed and was pleased with the enthusiasm and participation of the residents in participating in this tsunami response simulation activity. "We, together with the ranks of BNPB Bantul, will always provide disaster socialization for the community which is continuously," Dwi said.
