Diskominfo - Commemoration of the World Environment Day at the Bantul Regency level at SMAN 1 Bantul. This activity took the theme "My Blue Sky, My Green Earth". Saturday (29/6).
According to the organizer's report, the Head of the Bantul Regency Environmental Service Office, Ari Budi Nugroho, ST, M.Sc., said that the purpose of this activity was to increase awareness of the importance of preserving the environment and as an effort to disseminate and educate the public about problems and solutions air pollution prevention through greening.
This activity took place at SMA N 1 Bantul because one of the schools won the National level Adiwiyata in 2017, which is currently heading for the evaluation of the Adiwiyata Mandiri school.
In his speech the Deputy Regent of Bantul, H. Abdul Halim Muslih conveyed, today is a very important and strategic day for us to renew our commitment in improving the environmental index in Bantul Regency, because it concerns the role and contribution of all parties in improving the environmental quality of our life.
The Deputy Regent of Bantul explained that, nationally, we use the theme in that relevance, namely My Blue Sky, My Green Earth. The theme was taken because it illustrates our efforts to control air pollution are closely related to efforts to organize our earth to become greener.
"Hopefully our efforts will be blessed and get help from Allah SWT in order to preserve our environment for posterity, for the lives of future generations better," added Mr. Halim.
The event continued with symbolic surrender of plants and the submission of Adiwiyata awards by the Deputy Regent of Bantul.
The series of activities that have been carried out in the context of welcoming the World Environment Day, namely the cleanliness of the sub-district office on June 18-20 2019, the initial planting of former mining reclamation at Temuwuh Dlingo on June 20, 2019, organic waste recycling training on the 21st and 22nd June 2019 as well as a healthy and environmentally friendly canteen socialization for the pilot of the Adiwiyata school on June 28, 2019.
