The Rice Harvest Movement with the Regent of Bantul in the Bulak Sedyo Makmur Group

Diskominfo >> The agricultural sector is one of the development priorities of Bantul Regency, given the considerable opportunity and potential that can still be developed and utilized for improving and prospering the community as well as developing the regional economy. This was revealed by the Regent of Bantul, Drs. H. Suharsono at the rice harvest movement event which took place in Bulak Sedyo Makmur Group, Polaman, Argorejo. Tuesday (11/6).

The Regent of Bantul gave his appreciation to all Sedyo Makmur’s kadhang farmers for their dedication and sincerity in seeking the prosperity of their lives.

"This is a form of enthusiasm and hard work by Sedyo Makmur’s kadhang farmers that we must continue to guard," said the Regent.

Bantul Regent explained, in positioning agriculture as a mainstay sector and the main driver of development, of course needed appropriate technology. Agricultural technology innovation is a necessity to spur increased production, productivity and quality of competitive agricultural products.

"To the Sedyo Makmur’s farmer groups to always develop the knowledge they have and continue to promote the use of organic fertilizers, straw back to the fields, the movement of pest control, the use of new superior varieties," the Regent hoped.

While Sedayu Sub-District Head, Drs. Fauzan Muariffin added that the harvest activities were very satisfying. Especially in bulak polaman, the water is very much so that for rice planting can be done as well as possible.

"Agricultural activities in Sedayu are very much supported by the Bantul Regency Agriculture, Food, Marine and Fisheries Office so the results are very satisfying," he explained.
