Regent: Fulfillment of Livable Houses in Bantul Regency Must Be Continuously Driven

Diskominfo - Basic or primary human needs are clothing, food and shelter. Therefore the existence of a house is certainly one of the most important things in human life.

Liveable homes can be an indicator of the level of public health. If the society is healthy, they can get a good education. That way the quality of life and the level of welfare of the society will certainly increase as well, it was said by the Regent of Bantul Drs. H. Suharsono at the handover ceremony of the Aid Fund for Improving the Quality of Non-Occupable Homes at the Village Hall of Poncosari Srandakan. Wednesday (7/31).

The regent said, the fulfillment of healthy and livable homes must continue to be driven. Therefore, we, the Bantul district government, continue to commit to providing assistance to the community to be able to build or improve the quality of homes so that they can inhabit decent homes in a healthy and safe environment.

"This is also clear evidence, that we always direct the Bantul regency government policy towards matters relating to the ordinary people and truly care for the society. This is what we always strive for from year to year," said Regent Suharsono.

I congratulate the ladies and gentlemen of the society beneficiaries of social assistance programs to improve the quality of unfit homes. Hopefully with this program can ease the burden of the society in improving the quality of the house, so that the ladies and gentlemen will have a healthier and more comfortable home.

"Use this assistance as well as possible, don't misuse it. I reiterate once again that this aid should not even be bought mobile phones, motorcycle loans and others because we, the Bantul district government, provide assistance aimed at improving homes to be livable and healthy to be occupied so that it will be able to improve and develop the quality of life of each family and answer the challenges in our efforts to eradicate poverty in an integrated and sustainable manner in Bantul Regency, "he said.

Ladies and gentlemen, we should be grateful because there are still many of people who have not had this opportunity. We are aware that the Bantul Regency APBD is limited, but in the future we will continue to work towards adding additional beneficiaries to repair houses so that they are livable.

The Regent added that the existence of households that had not been handled would certainly be our homework together. If you only expect the help from government funds, it will not be enough to rehabilitate all uninhabitable houses in Bantul district. Therefore, collaboration with relevant stakeholders and the concern of the community and elements that are more capable and helping from the business world are needed through the contribution of corporate social responsibility funds.

"Finally, I do not forget to ask the community, village heads and subdistrict heads to facilitate and pay attention to the houses of residents or neighbors who have uninhabitable houses to be recorded and immediately to be reported," the Regent added.
