Bantul Regency Tourism Office conducts the development of cultural tourism attractions in Cemara Sewu Beach. (28/09).
Because it is still in the condition of the Covid-19 pandemic, the event was held closed with limited invited guests. However, the attraction can be viewed virtually on Bantul TV YouTube channel on October 10, 2020. This artwork is performed this time taking the title of The Queen's Ballet.
The Queen's Ballet is a story about the dignity of Kanjeng Ratu Kidul as ruler of the South Sea. The story begins with Danang Sutawijaya's victory over Arya Penangsang so that it is awarded in the form of Mentaok Forest. But in the course of building the Mentaok Forest to be made a kingdom there is a disturbance of delicate creatures.
Seeing the incident Ki Juru Kunci Mertani suggested to Danang Sutawijaya to meditate. Danang Sutawijaya's meditation makes the ocean turbulent, thus inviting Kanjeng Ratu Kidul to meet Danang Sutawijaya. After a rock contact between Danang Sutawijaya and Kanjeng Ratu Kidul, Danang Sutawijaya finally managed to establish a kingdom in mentaok forest without any interference in the way. And at the end of the story of the kingdom is the forerunner of The Palace of Mataram.
Based on this, this ballet tries to explore the natural aesthetic of Cemara Sewu Beach into the aesthetic of art in an innovation and worth selling in the destinasian tourism. So it will attract tourists to come visit.
