Peh Cun is an important festival in Chinese history and culture. The celebration which is always celebrated every 5th day of the 5th month in the Confucian calendar is always celebrated in various regions, one of them Bantul Regency.
After being suspended for 2 years due to the pandemic, this year the Jogja Chinese Art and Culture Center again held the Peh Cun Festival on Friday, 3 June 2022 at Parangtritis Beach.
The series of events at this festival will begin with the Peh Cun Prayer for laying eggs. Then continued with the performances of Samsie, Liong, Lion Dance, and Local Dances.
